This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes the slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending August 2022 for Burman Recruitment Limited and has been approved by the board of directors.

Modern slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. It takes various forms such as slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour and human trafficking, all of which have in common the deprivation of a person’s liberty by another to exploit them for personal or commercial gain.
Burman Recruitment Ltd operates as an Employment Business and are fully aware of the risks involved in the supply of Labour both on a temporary and permanent basis
We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our workforce. We also expect the same commitment in our supply chains.
As part of our initiative to identify and mitigate risks we have in place systems to:
- Assess and identify potential risk areas in our workforce
- Mitigate the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring in our workforce
- Work with our existing supply chains to identify and assess potential risk areas
- Mitigate the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring in our supply chains
- Protect whistle blowers
We have zero tolerance to slavery and human trafficking. To ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains and our business, the training we provide to our staff is ongoing. We also encourage any of our business partners to provide raining to their staff and suppliers as well as their providers to mitigate potential risks
